Low Power Factor

Posted by: sheldon on

dear all,
Refernce Circuit : RDK 251

My customer has designed a led driver uing LNK457DG, The pcb layout seems to be very bad because the clamp diode is placed near the o/p transformer, and the feedback diode is placed near the primary of the transformer, though the connections are right is it right to do the same, Since im experiencing difficulty in getting high Pf which is very close to 0.9> according to the RDK 251 document, can i infer that because of the PCB layout my Power Factor is dripping below the recommended value,,,,

Please Help me in this Regards

It is important to have a sensible layout for the circuit using LNKPL.

Specially the feedback circuit should be noise free enviornment.

It will be easier if you follow the RDK251 layout as much as possible.
