How to chose a small transformer for low power supply circuit

Posted by: ntc78 on

Hi, I am designing a Switching power supply with TNY255, Output is 6.3V/ 0.35A, input is Universal VAC. So which smallest transformer I can use, I prefer to SMD transformer.
Can you give me a suggestion?
Thank you.

Best regard.

You can use our design software PIXLs Designer in PI Expert package to find the right transformer for you. I did a quick look for you that EE10 can meet you needs. If you can find some SMD transformer parameters and put in the PIXLs, you may find the optimal transformer for your design.

yeah, thanks but if I use the ER9.5 core and the output voltage/current is 6.3/0.1A. Is it OK. Because I do not see this core in the PIXLs Designer.

Best regards
